The downspout forming machine is a specialized equipment that uses cold bending forming technology to process metal coil into downspouts (drainage pipes) for building drainage. It is a cold bending machine used in the production of building roof drainage systems.

core functionality

Raw materials such as steel strips, galvanized strips, and color coated strips are processed through continuous processes such as unwinding, leveling, progressive cold bending, fixed length cutting, and interface processing to form downspouts with different cross-sections such as circular, rectangular, and square in one go, which are directly used for rainwater discharge on building roofs.

Core structure

Unwinding unit: equipped with tension control and correction device, carrying the entire roll of raw materials, ensuring smooth unwinding without deviation, and adapting to different weights of coil materials.

Leveling unit: Multiple sets of leveling rollers are used to correct the wave patterns and slight warping of the raw materials, ensuring that the surface of the downspout is smooth and wrinkle free after forming.

Forming host: The core component is designed with multiple forming rollers according to the cross-sectional shape of the downspout (circular, rectangular, etc.), which are gradually rolled into a predetermined contour through cold bending technology. The roller system has high precision and strong wear resistance.

Auxiliary unit: including fixed length cutting device (hydraulic or mechanical cutting, flat cut), interface forming device (processing socket or snap on interfaces for easy installation and splicing), and some models are equipped with punching device (processing fixed holes).

Electrical control system: PLC intelligent control, supports setting of downspout diameter/side length, length, and forming speed parameters, touch screen operation, can store multiple specification parameters, and is easy to change.

Features of the equipment

High molding accuracy: The diameter/side length error of the downspout is ≤± 0.3mm, the wall thickness is uniform, the cross-section is regular, the interface is tightly fitted, and the drainage sealing is guaranteed.

Wide adaptability: capable of processing steel strips, galvanized strips, color coated strips, stainless steel strips, etc. with a thickness of 0.3-1.2mm, supporting the production of various specifications of downspouts such as circular (diameter 50-200mm) and rectangular (side length 50 × 50-150 × 100mm).

High production efficiency: molding speed of 10-25m/min, continuous automated operation, single shift can produce thousands of meters of downpipes, suitable for bulk supply in construction projects.

Easy to operate: After setting the parameters, one click start is required. When changing the mold, only the forming roller needs to be adjusted or the dedicated mold needs to be replaced. The maintenance cost is low, and 1-2 people can operate it.

Civil buildings: roof rainwater drainage for villas, high-rise residential buildings, and rural self built houses, producing colored and galvanized downspouts to balance drainage and decoration.

Industrial buildings: Roof drainage systems for steel structure factories, warehouses, and workshops, suitable for the drainage needs of large-span buildings.
