The highway guardrail forming machine is a cold bending equipment specialized in producing road anti-collision guardrails (with waveform guardrails as the core), and is a batch manufacturing equipment for guardrails in transportation infrastructure construction.
core functionality
Raw materials such as steel strips, galvanized strips, and hot-dip galvanized strips are processed into waveform guardrail panels (mainly double wave and triple wave) for highways, provincial roads, and other roads in one go through continuous automated processes such as unwinding, leveling, progressive cold bending, punching, and fixed length cutting. These panels are directly used for the installation of road crash barriers.
Structure of highway guardrail forming machine:
Unwinding unit: equipped with a heavy-duty unwinding rack, capable of carrying heavy raw material rolls, and equipped with tension controllers and correction devices to ensure smooth unwinding without deviation.
Leveling unit: Multiple sets of leveling rollers are used to correct the wave patterns and warping of the raw materials, ensuring that the surface of the guardrail board is flat after forming.
Forming host: The core component is designed with multi component rollers according to the waveform guardrail cross-section (double wave W-type, three wave SS type), gradually rolled into a predetermined contour through cold bending technology. The roller system is made of high-strength materials, wear-resistant and durable.
Auxiliary unit: including precision punching device (processing guardrail plate connection holes and installation holes), hydraulic cutting device (fixed length cutting, flat and burr free cutting), and some models have flying saw cutting function to improve cutting accuracy.
Electrical control system: PLC intelligent control, supporting guardrail length, punching position, molding speed parameter settings, touch screen operation, can store multiple specification parameters, and easy changeover.
Features of the equipment
High molding accuracy: The wave crest, wave distance, and thickness dimension errors of the guardrail board are ≤± 0.2mm, the cross section is regular, the splicing is tight, and the anti-collision performance is guaranteed.
Strong targeting: specifically designed for road guardrails, with a focus on adapting to the production of double wave (310mm board width) and triple wave (506mm board width) guardrail boards. Some models are compatible with switching between different wave types.
Outstanding efficiency: Forming speed of 15-35m/min, continuous automated production, single shift can produce 3000-8000 meters of guardrail panels, suitable for bulk supply needs in road engineering.
Stable adaptability: It can process steel strips, hot-dip galvanized strips, and color coated strips with a thickness of 1.0-4.0mm. The compatibility of raw materials is strong, and it can meet the anti-collision strength requirements of different levels of roads.
