High speed guardrail forming machine is a special cold bending forming equipment specially used to produce corrugated beam steel guardrails (referred to as "corrugated guardrails") for expressways, first-class highway, municipal roads, etc.
A fully automated high-speed guardrail production line is a complex system that mainly includes:
Feeding system (uncoiler):
Used to carry steel coils weighing several tons (usually Q235 or Q345 hot-rolled coils).
Equipped with a hydraulic feeding trolley to achieve automatic winding.
Leveling system:
crucial. Due to the fact that the raw material is thick plate coil, which contains enormous stress, it is necessary to use a powerful leveling machine to completely eliminate the sagging, wavy edges, and sickle bending of the coil, ensuring that the strip entering the forming machine is absolutely straight. This is a prerequisite for ensuring the straightness and installation accuracy of the final guardrail panel.
Guidance and punching system (one of the core processes):
Guidance device: Ensure that the strip is centered and does not deviate.
Online punching unit: This is a key process in the production of guardrail panels. Through precise servo feeding and large tonnage hydraulic punching machines, long circular holes for splicing and installation are accurately punched out on flat strips. The positioning accuracy of the hole requires extremely high precision.
Molding host (core part):
Composed of multiple (usually 15-25) high-strength and high hardness alloy steel rolling rolls.
Each rolling mill performs a small, progressive bending on the punched strip, gradually transitioning from a flat plate to a final three or two wave waveform cross-section.
Roller requirements: It must withstand enormous forming forces, therefore requiring extremely high materials, heat treatment processes, and processing accuracy.
Fixed length cutting system:
When the formed waveform guardrail board reaches the standard length (such as 4 meters, 4.32 meters), precise cutting is carried out.
Due to the thickness of the sheet, high-power hydraulic cutting or high-strength flying saw is usually used.
Discharge and stacking system:
Automatically transport, stack, and package heavy finished guardrail panels, usually equipped with roller tracks, lifting platforms, and packaging machines.
Electronic Control System (Brain):
Using PLC and servo system as the core, achieve full line automation and coordinated control.
Function: Control the entire process of unwinding, leveling, servo feeding, punching, forming, fixed length cutting, and stacking, with complex technology and high degree of automation.
